Africa has four main climate regions- desert, sael, savanna and the rain forest. I think that the desert would present the most hardships. I think this because in the desert, there is little water. It is dry and hot. If you are a desert person or a nomad you would have to move from place to place in search of water. This can be very difficult because water is essential  Since water is needed for all living thing food can be very hard to come by. It would be almost impossible to grow food or have a farm. So in that way I would not want to live in the desert.
I would also not want to live in the desert because of all the sand. In hate sand. It's dry and it gets everywhere. I would hate to have sand get into my food. On the other hand I would love to live in the rain forest . You would have  accessible food and water. and it would be cool to see all of the animals.

I love to read. I read whenever I get the chance. I know that a lot of you dont like to read.  But I beleve that there is a good book out there for everyone. Right now Im reaading Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. It is really good and I recomend it to you. It is about a teenage demi-god tring to find his way in the camp with others like him. I encourage you to read it.
What  I think is sad is that many( meaning millions of people) can't read. And its not just in third world countries a lot of people in the U.S cant read. I cant imagine what it would be like to not be able to read. Imagine how hard it would be to go to school, or even to walk aruond town, you would'nt be able to read any of the signs. if you know someone who can't read please don't tease them it only makes it harder. But in the mean time why don't you pick up a book and read.

As I said before in one of  my earlier posts, Iove to read. The book that I am currently reading is Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. It is really good. It is about a young boy who is having problems in school but what he doesn't know is that his dad is a major greek god. Him and his friend Grover are tring to make it to camp Half-Blood a spiecal camp for kids who's one of thier parents are a god. but before he can make across the boarder Hades claims his mom. Percy is devistated. What percy also dosent know is that he is being accused of stealing the master bolt and Hade's  Helm of Darkness him and his friends Annabeth (daughter of Athena) and Grover have to travel cross country to L.A. to get the Master Bolt and his Mother back. Thier Increadable journey is fun to read. They run across many bumps in the road such as several monsters and encanting places. I encourage you to read it.

Muhammad was a very kind and considerate person. He cared about the well-being of everyone, especially the poor. He thought that everyone should be fed and that the rich should help feed them. But not everyone liked this. Leaders, mechants and other rich people hated him. he told them that they should worship only one god instead of many. Nobody liked this. So  they ran him out of the city of Mecca. He was forced to go like in the city of Madina.
Muhammad left town with only a few followers, including his wife and daughter. They stayed in Madina, but while they were gone other people left Mecca to come to Muhammad. They started to listen to him. They wanted to hear what he had to say. Those people became known as Muslims, followers of Islam. In the region of Islam, every Muslim is expected to give food to the poor, Muhammad wrote that in the Qur'an or the Islamic holy book. Muhammad wanted this because he too was a rich merchant and he saw all of the poor begging for food or money. He didn't like that at all so in his religion he taught people to help them.

So me and my close family are herders. We stay in our own little spot and stay there. I have all ways been jealous of the freedom of the traders that pasted through my village. but one day my uncle can to our village and he said to me" You are getting to the age where you are old enough to come and travel with me what do you say want to come?" I answered him, " I don't really know." he replied " I'll give you a few days to think about it .
I thought about this for a long time. it had its pros and cons. If I did go I would have all the freedom in the world. I could roam as far as the eye can see. I could even make so money trading with my uncle. And I wouldn't have to stay and do chores with my family. I could go around meeting new people and being in that caravan with my uncle would be fun. I really wanted to go.
But it also had a down side. The days would be long and hot traveling through the dessert. I wouldn't get to sleep in my own bed i would have to sleep in the caravan with my uncle. And what of we met some people along the way that aren't very nice. And I hate camels, They smell bad and I don't like sitting on them for more than five minutes. And what if we get lost?
Over all I have decided to stay at home with my family in our happy little village. Maybe next time that my uncle rolls in I'll go with him but for now I'll

On Friday we had our first simmulation in Core. we each had our own unique parts in the simmulation. I was repersenting the provence of Africa. I did not enjoy that very much. I din't like it because i felt like other people had more important parts, or got to do more things. I wish that I could have been a Roman or a barbarian. I wanted to be a "Roman" because while we where sitting at our desks the "Romans" got to go around and pick and choose what item they wanted from each province. They also got to choose how much protection that they wanted to pass out.
The other choice that I would have picked would be a barbarian. I wanted to be a barbarian becaue thay got to go around attacking people and we could'nt do anything about it. another reason that I wanted to be a barbarian was because they got to move around some. Being a province the only time we got up was to do a commercial to sell whatever our province provided. so over all i dint really like my part in the simmuloation

The Five Pillars of Islam sometimes can be difficult to fallow. I think that the hardest to fallow would be the fourth pillar wich would be fasting durning the holy month of Ramadan. I think that it would be the most difficult to fallow because you can't eat any food while the sun is up. I would be so hungery by dinner time I probally be stuufing my face full of food!
I totally respect Muslim's comentment to not eat for that long. I probally could't do it. I would start complaning a lot of how much I wanted to eat. I wish that I had that kind of pastents and comentment to my faith to be able to do that. I really think that it takes someone with a lot of heart and courage to follow what  you belive that much so go all month without eating during the day. I love how cometed people are to thier faith.

Trade was one of the main reasons why the religion of Islam spread so quickly. The center of Islam was and still is the city of Mecca. Many trade routes lead to mecca. You can get to Mecca by land or sea. So if you don't want to walk in the desert heat you can always take a boat. The other way around too, if you get sea sick you can walk to Mecca. Many of the trade routes lead to places in Spain, Africa and other parts of Europe.
Many of the traders that were Muslims took their religion to other places. Lets say that you tired after a long day of trading and you and some of your friends are sitting by the campfire when one of them pulls out a strange book. You ask  him what it is called the Qu'ran the holy book of Islam. You ask him to tell you more, and he tells you about the rules and main beliefs of Muslims. You think that they are really good rules and decide to become a Muslim. The next time that you go to trade somewhere else you tell people about it. The people that you tell will tell their friends and so on and so on. The next thing that you know is that everyone in your village, all your family and most of everyone that you know is a Muslim. This is how Islam spread so quickly via
