I have  a lot of fun this year a Computech. I actucally can't wait to be here this summer. Well this summer we have training days for WEB. I think that being a WEB leader will be a lot a fun. I hopefully will make a difference in the lives of the incoming 7th graders. 

I think that the best thing a bout this year has been meeting all of my new friends. I have met people from all over Frenso. Thats something that you don't get to noramlly do when youu go to your home school. Another one of my favorite things has been the dances. They are so much fun, but formal was the best. It was fun to get all dressed up and go to a dance that is not on school campus. I really can't wait to be an eighth grader next year. I will miss a lot of my freinds over the summer but, hopfully we will all stay intouch.  

-          While we were at the zoo, we had to go around to different stations and fill out papers that corresponds to they station that we were at. I have a few favorites. My favorites were the sting rays, the humidity and the tiger. We went to many others but these were my favorite. 

           At the sting ray station, we got to touch the sting rays. The zoo had a shallow pool filled with sting rays and sharks. we stuck our hands into the water and petted the sting rays. My second favorite was in the Topical Rain Forest. We used thermometers to test the humidity in the rain forest that was in the zoo. My third favorite was the tiger. We observed the tiger for a few minutes and we could infer the tiger's mood. We came to a conclusion based on the way it held its ears. how it walked and the way its eyes looked. I had a good time doing these stations at the zoo. I wish that we could have gotten to do all of the stations, but that will have to be another trip. 

-       Both the Aztec and the Inca fell. They both declined over many years. The fall of these two civilizations was very similar. They both had internal problems,their leaders were captured, they didn't have guns or horses ,and they both were hit with deadly diseases. 
      When the Spaniards came they had horses and guns the Aztecs and the Inca had never seen either one before and this made then have a lesser chance of winning. The Spaniards brought diseases with them- like small pox- and killed thousands of people. While fighting wars, both of their leaders were captured. This made it harder to win the wars. They didn't had anyone giving orders. All of these factors lead to the fall of the Aztecs and the Inca. 

_        We are getting close to the end of the year. I have had a great time this year at this school. I have many great memories from the year. Some I will never forget. One of the first memories that I have is one the very first day of school- the WEB day. The WEB day is when some 8th graders (WEB leaders) Come welcome the new seventh graders. I had a lot of fun playing games with the eighth graders as I made new friends. 
           One of my other memories that happened while we weren't in school. And that would be summer school.. Most people would think that summer school is for dumb kids that can't do their work. But our summer school was meant for meeting new kids and starting to meet some of your future teachers.  I had a  lot of fun during summer school. I met some new people and played some fun games. The Summer school expiriance really helped me because I got familiar with the school. 
           Another one of the good memories that I have was not too long ago. When our Drama club finally put on our performance. This was a big deal to us because we had been working on it for so long and put so much time into it. We had finally performed in front of people. For me this was one of the first times that I have performed in front of people.         
         

-       The Maya was a civilazation that thrived in Mesoamerica. They were known for their huge cities with grand pyramids, but most of all because of their calanders. Because of the fact that their calanders stopped in 2012, people thought the world was going to end. The Maya suddenly colapsed. No one knows exactlly why they fell, but we have some thoughts. 
        I think that warfare was the main reason why they feel. They had bloody wars that consisted or capturing prisoners. I think that because of the need to feed more people and pay for warfare, they fell. During the times of war, many of the farmers went to war. This made it hard to get food that were provided by the farmers 

-     I am one of the first people that are living in the Americas. We are hunter- gatherers. We move from place to place. We follow the food. If the food moves we move. Somethings this can get pretty tiring. We never stay in one place longer than a week. My family has been tries to keep up with the animal herd that we rely on for most of our food. But someimes we just can't keep up. 
      Another tribe has found a way to farm. This would mean that we wouldn't have to move around so much. The only this is that they don't quite know if it will work yet. We now have a choice. To settle and pray that the farming will work or keep moving around with the food. 
      After a lot of thought, We have decided to stay and become farmers. This might have been the best choice of our lives. We are now corn or maize farmers. We get plenty of food from the land. It is really easy too. The soil is good and we get plenty of rain. We have more time now for what ever we need to do- more time to relax. 

For the last quarter my favorite book was the Hobbit. I really enjoyed this book for many reasons. I liked this book because sometimes when I'm reading a book I get bored, but with this book kept my attention. It had many twists and turns ,it was very exciting. The Author kept you wondering If the group will stay alive another day. 

The Scientific revolution was a very important time in history . At this time many important people were alive. People like Galileo and Sir Isaac Newton. These people made very important discorveries that effect us today. 

-      Spring break is almost here. We have only one more day until have a whole week off. These last few days have seemed so long. I am looking forward to many things during the week. I will be at my dad's house that week. My dad dosn't live in Fresno so I look forward to seeing him.
     I also can't wait for Friday because my church's youth group and I are going to San Fransico. We will be driving up there tomorrow night. We will be having so much fun. We are going to take a tour of Chinatown. We also will be crossing the Golden Gate Bridge and going to Alcatraz. I think that we will be having such a good time because we are all such good friends and we all get along well. So I really can't wait to get out of school Friday afternoon.
