Right now I am in the middle of two books. Boy by Roald Dahl and the Hobbit. But by far my favorite is the Hobbit. It is really good and I recommend it to all.
It is about a hobbit and several dwarves and a wizard. The Hobbits name is Bilbo. He is the main character. The group go on a great adventure to take back the Dwarve's treasure. The only thing is that a dragon named Smaug is guarding the treasure. They have a great adventure with many "bumps in the road" along the way. They come across some interesting people and places. They have to figure out how to do finish their quest without dying. All through the trip Bilbo is loving and hating life. Sometimes he wishes that he could be at home and at others he is very proud of himself. Hobbits usually don't go on adventures and he is one of the first. I recommend this book.
Tuesday and Thursday I was sick. I stayed at home both of those days. I really didn't do very much but I did a lot of class time and work. I mostly laid around the house and watched TV. The really bad thing about being sick ( beside being sick) is that I had soccer try-outs everyday all this week. I missed the one on Tuesday because of the rain. I also missed the try out yesterday because I wasn't feeling good enough to run around for two hours.
This has been especially hard because my mom and to go out of town on Wednesday. So what happened was my grandma picked me up at the bus stop and then took my brother and I to our try-outs that everning. This week I have missed quite a bit of class time I missed the preposition test in Baird's class and others in my other calsses. Hopefully I will get cought up.
Yesterday was Valentine's day. It was free dress and we had the Valentine's day dance. It was a lot of fun I went with some of my friends. The night before I made a bunch of Valentines for my friends.I wrote them out and put candy on them. when we were at school I passed them out to everyone. I got a lot of valentines from my friends as well.
For Valentine's day my mom got me Pitch p-erfect and some salted carmels which are my favorite. I couldn' eat any of it yesterday because I gave up candy for lint. Since we don't have a game today yesterday leadership did one. The game was called kiss me. The first part of the game you are ypur partner have to move chocolate from one bowl to the other only using a spoon that was in you mouth. the second part one person was blind folded and the other had to tell the other how to put a pluzzle together. The last part you had a pice of glass with frosting on both sides and you and you partner had to lick it off at the same time.
This week I did a lot. We had a three day weekend and then I was sick on Tuesday , so I missed a lot of class time .Thursday I left early because I still wasn't feeling good, so my mom can and picked me up and i started to catch up on some homework. The only thing that was bad(besides being sick) was that my grades began to drop. So now I have to work super hard.
Yesterday was kinda exciting because we got a new Xbox. Also yesterday while I was home me and my mom made some cookies, which were really good. Today I has been raining all day, so we had to be inside most of the time. For P.E. we played Dance Dance Revolution in the cafeteria. That was a lot of fun because we are all sore from boot camp yesterday. We are now starting to buy our tickets for the Valentines Day Dance on Thursday. Today after school we have Drama club. This is exciting because we haven't been there in a while. I had to be canceled all last week.
If you had a 3.5 or higher in the last two quarters lat night you got to go to Boomers. We got in for free and bring a guest. Since one of my friends is in leadership we went early to help set up. We make huge yellow and black balloon arches and hung up posters. Later on that night more of our friends showed up and we started to do more things.
The first thing that we did was the go-carts. We had to wait in line for about an hour. But it was worth the wait. While in line we started to take pictures. Since we were in such a big group, my friend Caroline was standing on one of the lower poles so that she could get everyone in the picture.We were really loud and some people started to get mad at us. Once we were done with the go-carts, we went to go play mini golf. We didn't really play we only really hit the ball twice and ran around the course. About the time we were done, Boomers closed, so we had to call our parents and get picked up. I had a lot of fun with my friends at Boomers. I hope that the next time more people get to go and have just as much fun as we did.
I really don't have anything planned to write about so this blog might be a little random. Lately, I have not been to happy with my newest class. We had to switch elective classes. I switched from art to drafting. I had a lot of fun in art and now drafting isn't the funnest class. All we really do is draw lines. In Core I have been having a lot of fun. I love Mrs. Baird and we are learning about the Middle ages which is interesting.
Since today is Friday the Leadership group dose Something. Well today all of the leadership kids got here really early. And for the past couple of days they the cut out hundreds of bright yellow stars and wrote every kid in Computech names. They then hung them all over campus and it was our job to find our name. I thought this was really cool. Half the fun was finding our name. It was kinda difficult trying to our name because there were stars everywhere! On all of the doors, poles walls even the lights. We all felt special when we found our name. I wore mine around but it kept falling off so I put it in my binder. I want to thank all of the Leadership people for putting all of the time into making these and waking up so early this morning!
I had a great winter vacation. I had one of the best Christmas' and birthday. The first thing that i did was a lot of fun. I went up t my friend's cabin with her and her family up in shaver lake for a week. Since it was snowing we got really cold. We built snowmen went sledding, had snowball fits and mad smores. But my favorite part over all was hide and go seek. I know that sounds like a little kid game, but it was a lot of fun. We were in a huge cabin and we played with four adults ,so we found some really good hiding spots.

While we were at my grandparents house we had a lot of fun. First we had to go to my great-grandpa's funeral. After that we just had a lot of fun. My aunt lives in Nebraska and she was there this time which was a lot of fun. While we were up there I had my birthday. We made a cake and had a family party. I got some money from some of my family members and my cousin and I went shopping I got a lot of cute new clothes. Even though I am sad to go back to school I am kinda happy to be back because I get to see all of my friends again.
Today is Friday December the 21,2012. OMG!!The word is supposed end today. It's 1:21 and I am still alive and sadly still at school. I am so exited that this is the two classes of the year! I also can't wait to get home because the school will be sending our report cards to our house through the mail. I hope to get all A's. We have three weeks of for winter break! I can't wait to leave school.
Today is not a normal day. No Friday is normal at Computech. In French class we had a French dessert tasting. Each person at our table brought a French dessert. I brought macaroons and cheesecake. In Core we watched Mulan. We watched this movie because its mainly about the Huns and China. We learned about both of those during the semester. In computers right now we are blogging and listening to Christmas music which is nice.
Recently they did a study that they took several students from different parts of the world, and they gave them a very hard math problem that they weren't already taught how to do. The American kids looked at it and said that they could't complete this assignment and went on doing something else. The children from Japan started crying when after two hours they took it away. I am not trying to say that Japan is better than Americans, all I'm saying is that we all handle things differently.
In core we are learning about the way of life in Japan, and Mrs. Baird told us this story. I think that this relaets to the stuggle that we have in Mr. Kimbleys class. We recently did a tutorial in Microsoft Word, and we had to complete a series of practices using Word. They sometimes were difficult because we had to create a Word Document according to istructions giving to us by Word. They sometimes were difficult because we had to make them perfect. After we finished the document Mr. Kimbely came around a graded them. if they are not correct we and to fix it a we struggled with that. We were able to eventually fixed it.
